WishClip ("we", "our", or "us") respects your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy details how your information is handled when using the WishClip Chrome extension.

1. 100% Local Storage

WishClip operates on a local-first privacy model. All wishlist items, clipped product details, prices, currency settings, tags, and notes are saved locally in your browser using standard chrome.storage.local APIs. We do not operate external servers to collect your personal wishlist or browsing history.

2. Data Collection & Analytics

WishClip does NOT collect, track, aggregate, or sell any personally identifiable information (PII) or e-commerce browsing history. We do not use third-party tracking scripts inside the extension context.

3. Host Permissions & External Services

WishClip requests permission to interact with active tabs solely to parse product metadata (title, image, price) when you explicitly invoke the context menu action "Add to WishClip". Currency exchange rate updates are fetched from public rates API endpoint (https://open.er-api.com/*) without attaching user identifiers.

4. Data Backup & Migration

WishClip provides a JSON data export and import feature. When exporting, a .json file containing your wishlist records is generated locally on your computer. You retain full control over your backup files.
