1. Zero Remote Telemetry & No Cloud Storage

TracePanel operates completely inside your browser's client sandbox. We do not operate external analytics servers, nor do we collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your network traffic, API endpoints, tokens, cookies, or headers.

  • Zero Remote Servers: No network payload or request URL is ever transmitted over the Internet to our servers or any third parties.
  • Ephemeral In-Memory Processing: Captured requests and console logs exist solely in volatile browser memory while the tab or Side Panel is open, and can be purged with one click.
  • No User Account or Registration: You can install and use TracePanel immediately without providing an email, account, or personal identifiers.

2. Chrome Extension Permissions Explained

TracePanel requests specific Chrome Extension Manifest V3 permissions solely to provide in-browser network diagnostics:

  • webRequest / declarativeNetRequest: Required strictly to listen to local network requests and present status codes, latency, and headers in your Side Panel.
  • sidePanel: Used to host the TracePanel user interface docked alongside your active tabs.
  • activeTab & scripting: Used to capture client-side Web Vitals and console messages from the currently focused tab when the user invokes inspection.

3. Third-Party Services and Analytics

The TracePanel browser extension itself contains zero tracking SDKs, no advertisement trackers, and no remote telemetry. Our static marketing website (extension.fufuk.com) utilizes privacy-respecting Google Analytics 4 strictly to assess aggregated website visit counts.

4. Data Retention and Security

Since TracePanel does not collect or transmit any user data, there is no remote data retention. Closing your browser session or clicking the "Clear" button instantly wipes all buffered traces from memory.
