Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 11, 2026 • Floor Up Team

At PrivacyAuditor (a product by Floor Up Team), user privacy is not an afterthought—it is our entire core reason for existence. This Privacy Policy details our strict architectural commitments to protecting your personal data, browsing history, and online privacy.

1. Zero Data Collection Architecture

PrivacyAuditor operates entirely inside your web browser. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal information, browsing history, domain names, network requests, or cookie data.

  • No Browsing History Logs: All URL scanning and tracker detection heuristics are computed locally on your device.
  • No Remote Analytics: We do not track feature usage, button clicks, or extension activity inside the extension binary.
  • No Accounts Required: You can install and use PrivacyAuditor anonymously without registering an email or user profile.

2. Browser Permissions Explained

PrivacyAuditor requests specific Chrome Extension Manifest V3 permissions solely to analyze webpage security and tracker behavior locally:

  • webRequest & declarativeNetRequest: Used locally to inspect incoming third-party script URLs and classify them against built-in tracker blocklists.
  • cookies & storage: Required to audit cookie flags (Secure, SameSite, HttpOnly) and enable 1-click cookie cleanup on demand.
  • activeTab: Used to render the real-time privacy audit report popup for the site currently open in your browser tab.

3. Third-Party Web Portal Analytics

This promotional landing page (extension.fufuk.com/privacyauditor/) uses privacy-focused Google Analytics (gtag.js) strictly to count total web page visitors. No web portal analytics exist inside the installed extension itself.

4. Data Retention & Storage

Any user preferences (such as custom whitelist domains or scanner thresholds) are saved exclusively using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. You can purge all stored preferences at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension site data.

5. Compliance (GDPR, CCPA & Chrome Web Store Policies)

Because PrivacyAuditor collects zero personal data, we fully comply with European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Google Chrome Web Store Single-Purpose & Privacy Data Use policies.
