Privacy Policy for PokeCounter
At Floor Up Team, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy details our principles and practices regarding the PokeCounter Chrome extension.
1. 100% Local Storage & Zero Data Tracking
PokeCounter is designed as a privacy-first utility for Pokémon battle planning and Pokédex browsing. All core computations—including 18-type matchup matrix calculations, Terastallization multiplier shifts, multi-language searching, and favorite team bookmarking—take place 100% locally inside your Chrome browser.
- We do NOT collect, track, or transmit your search history, favorite team lists, or browsing activity.
- We do NOT operate external servers to collect user identifiers or monetize user data.
- No personal identifying information (PII) is collected, stored, or sold.
2. Chrome Permissions Explanation
PokeCounter requests minimum Chrome extension permissions solely to execute its core functionality:
storage: Used strictly to save your local extension preferences (such as selected language, theme preference, and favorite counter teams) on your local device.sidePanel: Used to render the extension interface directly inside Google Chrome's native Side Panel for convenient multitasking.
3. Third-Party Services & Public APIs
PokeCounter embeds an offline database fallback for instant search. To provide rich Pokédex imagery and extended sprite information, PokeCounter makes read-only requests to public PokéAPI endpoints. No user data or identifiers are sent to PokéAPI. This website uses standard Google Analytics for basic aggregate site visit metrics only.
4. Policy Updates
If we update this Privacy Policy, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
